Channels
Section titled “Channels”Use Channels for public section pages and top-level navigation destinations.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- The channel title, slug, description, image, navigation state, and sponsor metadata are approved.
- Articles assigned to the channel have compatible publish states.
- Open Channels.
- Create or edit a Channel.
- Set title, slug, description, image, homepage grid order, primary navigation, navigation order, and nav label.
- Add featured articles, lead blocks, channel kind, sponsor disclosure, and presented-by label when needed.
- Save draft.
- Preview the public channel route.
- Publish or schedule.
Resulting state
Section titled “Resulting state”Published channels can appear in public navigation, homepage grids, channel pages, and article routes. Articles enter a channel through their Article Channel field.
Permissions
Section titled “Permissions”Channel creation and retirement should be owned by the editorial lead because channel slugs affect public routing.
Failure cases and recovery
Section titled “Failure cases and recovery”- Article route 404: publish the Channel or correct the Article channel reference.
- Duplicate or obsolete tab: use archive/reassignment workflow rather than hard-delete.
- Wrong nav label/order: update primary nav and nav order fields, save, publish, and verify.
